    Beauty/Vanity/Fashion:

This portion of my favorites was actually super easy to do as I carry around what I call a beauty journal where I keep a running log of what is going on with me beauty and aesthetic-wise and take lots of notes on various products, techniques, and inspirations that catch my eye. I’ve been finding this really helpful with building my signature look and sense of style, allowing me to track my progress and understand what truly resonates with me over time. How I like to adorn myself cosmetically and getting to the heart of that has also really developed my style and sense of self, encouraging me to explore different facets of my personality and express them creatively through my beauty choices. Additionally, this journal serves as a safe space for experimentation, where I can freely jot down my thoughts on color palettes, makeup trends, and even outfit ideas, turning it into a valuable resource that fuels my passion for aesthetics and self-expression.

    • Neutrogena Overnight Peeling Solution
    • Freeman Glow Serum + Makeup Primer
      • OMGGGGG! This stuff is everything, only been using it about a month and when I tell you I’m running low already. Every time I have done my makeup this has been in rotation. It has kept makeup put from 7pm to 7am in the morning.
    • Revlon Lipstick in Rosewine
      • A vintage shade from Revlon I’ve been a fan of since high school, not a full on red by any means but more of a warm pinky nude shade.
    • ReviveRX Naturally Moisturizing Factors Face + Body Spray
    • Revolution Rose Baking Powder
      • This particular one was the first pink under-eye powder I tried and was pleasantly surprised by the brightening effects, especially when normally they try to shove orange based or yellow based powders down my through but I have a neutral undertone so this pink has really been hitting the mark.
    • ELF Cosmetics Satin Lipstick in O Face
    • Ruby Kisses pink glosses (all the shades they make tbh)
    • Ordinary Niacinamide Serum
    • Dermisil Oat Milky Toner
    • Ioni Blush Stick in Raspberry
      • Recently I have been looking for more pink blushes and decided to try this one, now this one is in my daily makeup bag as I use it that often.
    • Ioni Loose Baking Powder in Cool Pink
      • This is the second drug store pink baking powder, let me just say I have been obsessed with pink setting powder in the last quarter of the year.
    • MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Lady Danger
      • These two Mac lipsticks have been 2/3 of the reds I been wearing this winter. Either of these with a black brown lip liner are gorgeous.
    • NYX XXL Lipstick in Carmelo
    • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul
    • Fossil Black & Brown Reissued Weekender Bag
    • Victoria Secret Makeup Bag gifted by a childhood friend years ago
    • Optic Glow Eyedrops
    • Niarobi Foaming Setting Lotion
    • Liquid Mousse Spritz in Firm Hold
    • French Tip Gel X Duck Nail Tips
    • Builder Gel In A Bottle
      • I have been loving doing builder gel sets on my nails with tips as of recently, very simple and easy application while building strength in the nail.
    • Black Brahmin Bag I got from Goodwill that has been acting as my weedbag.
      • Recently I have been using a purse as my weedbag to be more discreet in public and for easier transport. I’ve been loving this particular find for this purpose.
    • Black Carpet Bag
      • I’ve been obsessed with carpet bags and I was able to find one second hand back in October since then it has been the only weekender/overnight bag I have been carrying. Perfect size, very spacious and allows everything to fit comfortably in one place.
    • Teal Foldable Glasses
      • Chile if you know me personally you’d say I’ve been wearing these glasses out, anytime I have a boring outfit on and want a pop of color as of recent, boom TEAL FOLDABLE GLASSES.

    Media:

I have been purposely reaching for more physical media as of late in attempts to not rely on my phone for everything and reduce my screentime. This has involved exploring a variety of formats including books, magazines, and vinyl records, all of which offer a tangible experience that my digital devices lack. I find that holding a physical book in my hands while savoring its pages enhances my focus and allows for a deeper connection to the material. Similarly, listening to music on vinyl creates a unique ambiance that digitally streamed music simply cannot replicate. Through this conscious effort, I hope to foster a more mindful lifestyle, encouraging relaxation and creativity away from the constant distractions of screens.

In honor of my roll of personal style posts, I thought I’d do something fun and engaging, so let me show you what I would have in my closet or on its way to my door if I wasn’t working on an educator’s salary, lol. Imagine a wardrobe bursting with vibrant prints, luxurious fabrics, and trendy accessories that reflect my unique personality. I can picture a stunning array of tailored blazers that can effortlessly elevate any outfit, paired with chic blouses and denim that offers both comfort and flair. And let’s not forget those statement shoes, from elegant heels to stylish boots, each one capable of transforming a simple look into something extraordinary. It’s all about curating pieces that inspire confidence and creativity while navigating the balance of fashion and budget but what if we didn’t have a budget? Thus this delusional wishlist.

Tom Ford for Yves Saint Laurent Cotton Off-Shoulders Top F/W 2001

This blouse gives me Basketball Wives in the best way possible, with its trendy design and chic silhouette that perfectly embodies the glamour of the show. Pairing it with a fitted pair of jeans or a stylish denim skirt would elevate the entire look, creating an effortless yet fashionable ensemble that turns heads.

Women's Yves Saint Laurent, 2003, Tom Ford Era Bell Sleeve Top For Sale

Yves Saint Laurent, 2003, Tom Ford Era Bell Sleeve Top

This top makes me want to dress like Lynn from Girlfriends. I could see myself wearing a paisley printed skirt or some funky pattern to offset the seriousness of a long black shirt, creating a striking contrast that showcases my personal style. The addition of a vibrant, eye-catching belt would accentuate my waist, completing the look. Pairing this ensemble with some chic ankle boots would add an edgy touch, while still allowing me to embrace the witchy vibes of the flowy sleeves. Perhaps I could even throw on a layered necklace or a stack of colorful bracelets to bring in some texture and personality, giving me the confidence to strut my stuff in any setting.

Tom Ford for Gucci Angel Sleeve Silk Shirt S/S 2004 For Sale

Tom Ford for Gucci Angel Sleeve Silk Shirt S/S 2004

You wanna know how you know I grew up in church?? I want to style this blouse with a long skirt that flows elegantly around my legs, creating a graceful silhouette. I plan to add some stylish boots that will elevate the entire outfit, specifically a pair of boots that are listed below. Straight Clark Sisters vibes, right? It’s amazing how fashion can reflect our roots and upbringing. I get asked a lot if I’m going to church when wearing some of my favorite things, but I care not; I look cute and confident, and my Granny wouldn’t be embarrassed to see me out in such a fashionable ensemble. Instead, I can almost hear her voice encouraging me to express my individuality while staying true to my heritage. After all, blending personal style with a nod to one’s upbringing can create a unique and beautiful look that honors both the past and the present.

S/S 1999 Gucci by Tom Ford Sheer Silk Ruffle Collared Button Down Shirt

Honestly, if you read my Ebay wishlist, most of these picks in terms of eyewear make perfect sense and reflect a unique taste. The oval-esque dark frames, often in oddly colored and shaped designs, resonate deeply with my personal style and aesthetic preferences. They are not just accessories; they are bold statements that highlight my personality and mood. I find that they perfectly encapsulate the vibe I strive for, balancing a professional yet edgy aesthetic. It’s like embodying the essence of an office siren meets the enigmatic allure of Gone Girl—a blend of sophistication and intrigue that I absolutely love. It’s fantastic how the right pair of glasses can elevate an entire look, drawing attention and sparking conversations.

I don’t need to say too much about these; I mean, just take a look at them. The sheer variety and striking features they showcase speak volumes on their own. Each one has its unique charm and intricacies that draw attention and spark curiosity. JOHN GALLIANO RUNWAY F/W 1998 HIGH NECK BUTTON BACK BIAS CUT GOWN

This Galliano piece is everything; its elegance and unique design truly make it stand out in any wardrobe. I don’t think it needs much at all to enhance its beauty. A simple pair of heels that complements the outfit would be perfect, adding just the right touch of sophistication without overpowering the look. Alongside that, a delicate gold necklace would add a subtle shimmer, drawing attention to the neckline and enhancing the overall aesthetic. To complete this exquisite ensemble, a pair of diamond studs would add a touch of glamour, making the entire outfit impeccably polished and ready for any occasion.

    Balmain Fall/Winter ’24 Brushed-Yarn Surplice Top

I see myself in this piece with a form fitting pencil skirt and some stylish pumps that perfectly complement the outfit. The skirt hugs my curves, giving me a confident and polished look. To add a touch of flair, I would accessorize with some sheer printed tights that feature a delicate pattern, providing both elegance and comfort as I move. My choice of jewelry would include a dainty cross necklace or perhaps a locket that holds sentimental value, further enhancing the look with a personal touch.

Rick Owens One Sleeve Virgin Wool Top

As someone’s who’s a millennial and goth, you probably could’ve guessed I also am a big fan of Rick Owens. There’s always something so chic yet edgy about their pieces, which effortlessly blend the dark aesthetic I cherish with a modern twist that feels both avant-garde and wearable. Each collection seems to tell a story, reflecting a deep understanding of fabric manipulation and silhouette, effortlessly pushing boundaries while still embracing a sense of rebellion.
